OOTD Spring 2017 - 12 South, Nashville | Unleashing Color and Embroidery

Top - For Love & Lemons Jacket - Anthropologie Pants - Hollister Shoes - Nanette Lepore

Sunglasses - Ray-Ban Lipstick - Jouer

I visited the adorable 12 South neighborhood in Nashville on a beautiful, bright day with a crisp breeze that kept the March afternoon chilly, demanding a jacket. My embroidered shoes were comfortable to walk in to visit the many stores of charming jewelry and clothing. One of these shops is Draper James, Reese Witherspoon's gorgeous clothing store painted in blue and white stripes where tea is offered to costumers and elegant clothing abounds. I was also bombarded by the smell of delicious food from the perpetual line of restaurants and coffee shops. I adored the "I Believe in Nashville" mural, which is so cute and adds even more character to this unique neighborhood.

Now, on to the clothes! I love this outfit for the days leading into spring, as the abundance of floral embroidery and colorful, cheerful hues emulate the season's vitality and joy. I'm wearing the lip shade "Cassis" by my liquid lipstick brand of choice, Jouer, as the purply pink color complements my outfit. With their flattering dark wash and high waist, these are one of my favorite pairs of pants, and although they are tight, they have enough stretch not to suffocate my legs. I have also been wearing this jacket ceaselessly because it is so comfortable and soft, yet not too warm for the season. However, I'll extend this outfit throughout spring by eventually leaving the jacket behind and showing off the ruffled, floral crop top, my absolute favorite part of this ensemble. In the meantime, though, I'll be keeping that jacket on for fear of freezing!
